RIA Department

Whether you are new to the advisory business or a seasoned veteran, Financial West Group provides advisors with the tools, technology, and support they need to manage a successful practice.

Investment Programs: The first thing you need to decide is if you are an Asset Manager or an Asset Gatherer? The answer to this question will help determine the program you choose below:
  • Advisor Managed Accounts Program (AMAP) – In this program, the Advisor will assist the client in determining the appropriate allocation of the client’s account among different asset classes, and the Adviser will directly manage the investment portfolio selected for the client, on a discretionary or non-discretionary basis, as selected by the client.
  • Third Party Money Manager (TPMM) Program – Through this program we offer multiple direct Third Party Money Managers to choose from, along with turnkey platforms such as Managed Account Solutions (MAS) and EQIS. Based on the client’s individual circumstances and needs, the Advisor will then perform management searches of various approved money managers to identify which portfolio management style is appropriate for that client. Factors to consider while making this determination include: account size, risk tolerance, client preference and the investment philosophy of the selected manager.
  • Financial Planning and Consulting (FP&C) Services – FWG also provides financial planning and consulting services. Financial planning can be a comprehensive evaluation of a client’s current and future financial state by using currently known variables to predict future cash flows, asset values and withdrawal plans.
